Last Days

Tyler was scheduled to deploy in Mid February so we packed as many fun-filled adventures as we could into the last few days he was here.

We went on hikes in some of our favorite nearby hiking trails.

And spent some time at the YMCA pool! The kids took swim lessons there a few months ago but we hadn't ever gone back to actually swim. Tyler took the big kids there one afternoon when the twins were at home sleeping.

They had lots of fun and were very brave about jumping in the pool all by themselves!

They had so much fun and did such a good job swimming. It was so nice that they could have some quality time with daddy before he would be gone for nine months.

Post swim time selfie!

Tyler also spent plenty of quality time with the babies. Here they are reading books together one morning before church. The babies LOVE reading books!

Selfie time with the book reading babies!

It's nice to have a few extra hands to wrangle the little ones at church. How is mommy going to manage all the energetic little kids by herself? 😓

The final adventure we had was a trip to Peter Piper Pizza, a place very similar to Chuck E. Cheese for those who have never heard of it before. We have brought the kids there a few times before for friends' birthday parties but we went this time just as a family.

There are lots of fun rides and games to play. Some are just for fun and some get you tickets you can turn in for prizes.

Christian loved trying the car driving games.

So did the big kids! It's a good thing they don't let kids drive until they are 16. Our kids were pretty dangerous on those cyber streets.

The babies liked riding on the small carousel type ride they had. It was fun with lights and sounds and not too crazy.

Melody is our little climber girl and loved exploring the kids play area. She kept climbing up and sliding down the slide.

Our kids see Rachel play the piano and it makes them want to play piano also. It turns out that the piano game was also one of the best ways to earn a lot of tickets, so we spent a good amount of time and tokens playing that game.

We sure will miss daddy while he's gone, but we know he love us just as much as we all love him!!
