The Stinson family came to visit us in Colorado and we had a wonderful time with them! We are really happy they came to see us, and we hope they come again.
One of the fun things we did was visit the Colorado Springs Zoo. This zoo is unique because it is on the side of the mountain, I believe I've written about it before, and there is a lot of uphill walking.
The first exhibit is the giraffe enclosure.
Sylvia was more interested in bubbles than animals.
Uncle Jason helped Andrew feed the giraffe... Andrew was nervous.
Again, Andrew was nervous at the Lion exhibit.
Sylvia liked the elephants
And she got up close and personal with the big lizard in the Reptile House.
Kiera hanging out with her cousins. A tiger is somewhere in the habitat behind the kids, but you cannot see it in this picture.
Savannah and Andrew were being cute and walking together across the bridge path.
Every time we visit the zoo, Andrew finds this kayak decoration and sits in it.
Uncle Jason gives fun rides!
Uncle Jason was Andrew's buddy. On one of the car rides I heard Andrew say, "I wuv Uncle Jason."
The Stinsons took us out to dinner at Culvers one night and the kids loved it!! Now every time we drive by Andrew yells, "Culvers!"
Here we are at the splash pad! It was a fun way to spend the morning. Here they are taking a break and eating monster cookies the girls helped me make the day before.
This picture was taken two minutes before Andrew ran into the splash pad and tripped and fell on the cement, getting a huge goose egg on his forehead.
Relaxing and spending time together
The girls
Kiera was an awesome big cousin and read stories to Andrew and Sylvia.
We love Kiera!
I had to go on a 5 mile hike with the young women and Uncle Jason, the girls, and Andrew came too! We went hiking at Red Rock Open Space. The kids did great, I was very impressed!
Aunt Lissa stayed home and watched Sylvia. Lissa said she crawled up on Kiera's air mattress and took a nap! How adorable!
When we got home we ate lemonade popsicles and the kids made rock designs on the driveway.
Having fun playing together!
Here Andrew is opening his birthday gifts from Aunt Lissa.
Cute cousins! In spite of the goose egg forehead.
Aunt Lissa and Sylvia before church on Sunday.
Playing peek a boo.
The kids playing on Sunday.
Andrew and Sylvia wanted to go with the Stinsons!
They had so much fun with their cousins and were sad to see them leave!
Thank you for coming to visit us! This is my favorite picture from their visit, the girls were so sweet with Andrew and Sylvia.
