Twin's Baby Shower

Rachel's good friends threw her a baby shower for the twins! Rachel was not expecting a baby shower at all because she had one for both Andrew and Sylvia but they insisted and it was lots of fun!

There were two tables- a boy themed one and a girl themed one- so cute!

They did an amazing job decorating the Relief Society room!

There were several games, like guessing how many pink candies and mints were in mason jars, and how many diapers were in the diaper centerpiece.

There also was a fun candy memory game.  Each candy was paired with something that had to do with baby.  For example: raisnets- baby poop, snickers- baby laugh

It was a really fun evening!

We had delicious food: an Asian chicken salad, rolls, fruit, and cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

The last game was to guess baby items in brown paper bags blindly, the bags were stapled and we could only feel each item.  It was harder than it sounds!

Rachel got to take home this awesome centerpiece along with all the advice diapers from each table.  Also all the gifts were diapers and wipes! We have a good amount of diapers for our two little babies.

A big thank you to all the ladies who were able to come to the shower and make it so fun!

It will be sad to leave all of the wonderful friends we have made in Colorado!  We love them so much!

Egg-cellent Easter

We had a great Easter time in Colorado.  This year the kids were old enough for us to focus on the true meaning behind our holiday celebrations, but some of the complexities are hard for Andrew to grasp.  Every few days he will ask, "But why did Jesus die?"  We have explained it a lot.  We are grateful that Jesus did die and grateful still that He lives.  Because of Him we may always have hope.

For playgroup we planned a fun egg hunt at a local park.  Here are all the kids, except for Andrew because he had already started walking toward the hidden eggs.

We hid most of the eggs in plain sight because the most of the kids are age four and under.

Sylvia did a great job! Andrew found too many eggs (the kids had 10 each) we he gave his extras to the littlest kids.

Here are some of our friends.  After the egg hunt we had a picnic lunch.

Afterwards we played on the playground.  Andrew and Blake (Andrew's best friend) dressed alike.  It made it hard to keep track of who was who while they were all running around.

Here we are coloring our eggs.  I saw a life hack that said to put eggs in a whisk to make dyeing the eggs less messy for young ones.  It worked well!

Andrew opened a Kinder egg (the last of the eggs from when Tyler flew home from deployment and stopped over in Germany) and found a cool toy!

Camille and Hunter's Visit

The first part of April brought a visit from Camille and Hunter!

We took a walk on the trails behind the library after checking out some books.

We also went to the YMCA for the last time!  Camille, Hunter, Tyler, and Rachel went to a yoga class.  Rachel was sad to say good-bye to her friends she had made at the gym and also her yoga instructor.  It felt like they had all helped Rachel through Tyler's deployment the past year so it was an emotional moment.

This was taken off the YMCA's site- Andrew and Sylvia are in the picture though.  They have really liked going to the gym and have since asked when we will go back.  Sorry kids! We cancelled our membership because Rachel's baby belly was getting too big too fast to be able to keep up with the exercise classes.

We went for a walk around the block.  We were sad we didn't take Hunter hiking to our favorite places during their visit, but the weather was bad half the time and then we listened to General Conference so much that we ran out of time!

Aunt Cami and Uncle Hunter are so much fun to play with, the kids had a great time and were very sad when they left.  Rachel and Tyler also loved spending time with them too- they brought fun games we would play once the kids went to bed.  Tyler and Rachel even went out on an ice cream date one evening while Hunter and Camille stayed at the house.  Not pictured: Camille threw a Lipsense Party for Rachel's friends one evening- also lots of fun!
