It's Spring!

The weather has been pretty warm all winter, but it is starting to warm up even more so we decided to make another trip down to the canoe/swim place we went a few months ago. We went with the couple from the ward who also works in the nursery. Our last trip we took to this place is what prompted us to buy an underwater camera. Here are some pictures!

There was a rope swing above the cavern part of the swim hole. I didn't let go soon enough. Think we could send this in to America's Funniest Home Videos?

We were the only ones swimming at the beginning, but after a while a few other families showed up. They had two little puppy dogs and both of them ran over to us at one point or another as we dried off and ate lunch.

The water was very still and it was amazing the way it reflected the scenery.

Paddling down the river took about two hours, and we spent about an hour swimming.

Feb-ru-airy

The month of February was full of fun and adventure in the Carson household.

It started off with Tyler's 26th Birthday party. We had some friends over, played games, opened gifts, and ate delicious food which was prepared by Rachel. She also made a chocolate cake with pudding cool whip frosting topped with Oreos! Unfortunately we didn't get a poofy cheek picture of me blowing out the candles.

As we are getting ready to leave Alabama, we were happy to visit the Atlanta Temple.   We even met the brother of a missionary that Tyler knew from his mission! Even though it was a four hour drive we really enjoyed the trip.

I asked for some power tools for my birthday, here's why! Rachel found an idea in Pinterest of a way to organize our line of shoes by the door. Someone made a bench out of cabinets so you could not only store your shoes but also have a place to sit down while you put them on! It took a few weeks of working an hour or two here and there when I wasn't at work but the finished product turned out quite nicely. We had a lot of stormy weather down here the last couple of weeks which meant that I didn't fly, so I had more time to work on it, and also that we did most of it inside so the wood would't get all wet. With gift cards left over from the wedding and from my birthday, it only ended up costing us $3.45. Rachel helped out A LOT and I couldn't have done it without her.

We are now four months pregnant and just a few weeks away from finding out the gender.  Rachel has recently felt movement from the baby and a lot of growing in her belly.  Here are some fun pictures.
