10 Months Old

When we were in Michigan, Andrew got his first little baby tooth! The following week he got two more. He didn't drool too much and wasn't super fussy, he was just glad to have his little teeth to help him eat big boy food! We will post pictures of his little teeth later.

Here's the happy 10 month old!

Enjoying big boy food

Snuggling daddy before work

 Playing at the park

A family that we knew in Alabama who live a couple blocks away had a baby shower that we went to. Andrew loved playing in the little tykes car.

And the kiddie pool! It was kinda cold and he had goose bumps but he wanted to keep playing in the water he loved it so much.

Here is Andrew's very first time sitting on the toy car we got for him (much more masculine than the pink princess one he rode in Michigan!)

Helping mommy water the garden.

We took our usual weekend hike and Andrew had a lot of fun playing with daddy's hat.

We are glad to have nice warm weather here in Colorado

In the last couple weeks, Andrew has really added to his vocabulary. He now says: "ba ba" "ma ma" "na na" "da da" and "uh huh." We aren't 100% sure he actually knows what he is saying but it SEEMS like "ma ma" means "more" or "mom", "na na" means "yummy!" or "banana", "da da" means "all done" or "daddy", and "uh huh" means "uh huh." Whenever he is doing something cute and we try to take a video of it, he stops doing it! His speaking is no different but we did get one pretty good video of him saying "ma ma"

We go to visit the Judds

We started June off with a trip up to Michigan to see Rachel's family. Her youngest brother, Sam, was graduating from high school.

We had lots of room on the flight up there so Andrew was able to have his own seat. He spent 99% of the time sitting on our laps or crawling between us though.

The flight home was a different story. The flight was packed and he was all tired out from a great week of visiting family and friends!

Andrew loved riding around on this little car toy. We got him a more masculine looking one when we got back home.

Andrew was a big hit with all the extended family!

His bath in the sink, however, was not a big hit.

Rachel was able to see her friend Sarah and her two sweet kids, Marshall and Lily.  Andrew loved little Marshall because he was his same size!

This is the picture from last time they saw each other.  They sure have grown!

We had so much fun playing outside! We had beautiful weather and lots of places to explore.

Grandma time!

Just playing with Grandpa!

Mommy and baby needed nap time sometimes

Andrew loves Claire, Rachel's cousin's daughter and Claire's brother Cody who is also in the picture.  Claire and Andrew were so sweet with each other and gave lots of hugs.  Claire made Andrew laugh and laugh because she would pick up his sippy cup every time he threw it on the ground.  They thought it was a fun game.

We went to visit the Olivet College Library downtown.  It was fun to walk over and play with Andrew in the kid's section.  He had a really fun time and wasn't too loud (It was the library after all).

We were able to visit the Detroit Temple on our trip.  Grandpa watched baby while we did a session.

It was the first time we had been back to the Detroit temple since our sealing in 2012! (Tyler looks funny in this picture, but looking back it was the only picture of us in front of the temple!)

Here Andrew is learning about animal's at the Miller's house.  He pet the kitties and went to see Jared's cows.

We had an excellent trip to Michigan and are thankful we could spend a great week with family!!

The Judds come to visit

We had a merry month of May this year, as Rachel's siblings came to visit from BYU for the weekend. We took Camille, Bennett, and his girlfriend Margaret up the incline! We don't know why we did, but we did. Here are some of the pictures we took.

This was Tyler's view most of the time

Bennett and Margaret reaching the top. It takes longer to climb a mountain when you have to stop to hold hands and stare into each other's eyes every so often.

We learned from our last trip up the incline that baby Andrew can't last that long without food. We brought up a lunch and ate it at the top before we came back down. He learned to wave about this time and here is a picture of him waving at daddy.

Tyler ended up getting a migraine on the way down, so Rachel carried baby for most of the way.

Aunt Cami took a turn carrying baby too!

That evening we had a fancy Military Ball for Tyler's unit. (which is the main reason we had Rachel's siblings come visit, to baby sit Andrew) Rachel is proud to say she still fit into a dress she wore to her high school prom eight years ago!

We certainly love when family comes to visit!

Grandma Carson visits Colorado

At the end of April Tyler's mom came out to visit us in Colorado.

Unfortunately Tyler was working a night schedule that week so was only able to go places with us in the morning time. Us women folk found plenty of fun things to do though, and here are some pictures of the beautiful Manitou Springs (located near the foot of Pike's Peak)

Here are some pictures we took at a little park near our house.

On the weekend we all went to a beautiful area near Garden of the Gods called Glen Eyrie. Our newly bought used van ended up dying on us there (and I don't mean it changed color!) While Tyler called a tow truck and got a ride home to get our other car, everyone else enjoined the scenic sights.

We were able to go to a larger park near our house one morning with Tyler. It was fun for the whole family!

Andrew loves riding on Daddy's shoulders and playing with hats.

Here are some pictures of Andrew relaxing with Grandma Carson

 More adventuring

It was really fun having Grandma Carson come visit and are looking forward to seeing more of Tyler's family soon!
