Veteran's Day Visit

Over Veteran's Day weekend Grandma and Granddad came to visit.  They arrived in the afternoon and so we all were able to walk to pick up Andrew after school.

A happy surprise for Andrew!

Sylvia got a piggy back ride from Granddad.

The kids love to play games. Here they are playing Spot It.

Story time with Grandma.

The next day was Friday and Grandma, Granddad, Daddy, and Sylvia had lunch with Andrew.

They also took Sylvia to the museums close by our house.

We then drove up to White Sands.

We played, dug in the sand, used the sleds and had great time.

Run, run, run!

Sledding down the hills is a lot of fun.

Granddad's turn.

Melody loved to dig in the sand and scoot down the hills.  She looks so cute in her hat.

On our way back we stopped in Alamogordo for dinner and to tour the outside exhibits of the Space museum.

Another day we went up to New Mexico again to take our guests to La Posta restaurant.  They had their Christmas decorations up already.

We also walked around the downtown area and shopped for a Nativity set for Grandma.

We didn't get any Nativity scenes but we did find fun places for the kids to explore.

It's fun spending time together.

Family picture before church.

The twins appreciated being held by Grandma and Granddad during church.  They even napped in their arms!

Also on Sunday Tyler took Granddad to visit his childhood home here in El Paso.

Spiderman (Andrew) wanted to join Granddad for the picture.

We also went to Peter Piper Pizza during their visit.

Grandma helped Sylvia ace the piano game.  We certainly packed in a lot of fun activities to do when Grandma and Granddad were in town for Veteran's Day Weekend.
