March Madness

We have a lot of updates.  March 19th we found out that we are going to have a boy!  We are even more excited to meet our little guy.

The next day we had a fun family day and formal military ball.

Thursday, March 21st, Tyler graduated from flight school.  He is officially an Army Aviator with shiny new wings pinned on his uniform.  It was a proud day and the accumulation of a lot of time and hard work.  We were happy to share the moment with Tyler’s parents who came down for the occasion.

That weekend we went on a fun trip to tour the historic homes of Savannah, Georgia.  We got to experience the southern charm and hospitality Savannah had to offer.  It was a great time with Mom and Dad Carson and we are glad they shared their vacation with us.

Rachel’s parents came the following week at the start of their Spring Break along with Sam. We went canoeing in our favorite spot one last time.  We also spent Easter Sunday together in our mostly packed up house in Alabama (Dinner and dying Easter eggs was interesting without a table).  We all worked hard to get the moving van loaded and the house cleaned so we could leave the following Monday.

The canoe tipped and Dad fell in the water... oops!

 Good-bye Alabama house!

We snapped some quick pics along the way.

Alabama!
Florida!

Louisiana!

Texas!

New Mexico!

Colorado!

We stopped by Lissa and Jason’s on the way through Texas.  It was great to see them again and have a full day to spend playing with the girls.  They are growing up so fast! We loved seeing their sweet personalities and had a ton of fun.  (Thanks guys for letting us stay with you!)

Kiera loved making silly faces for the iPad camera!

Friday, April 5th, we made it to Colorado!! We were soo excited to see our house for the first time in person… and we were not disappointed.  The following week we worked like crazy to unpack, get new carpet, paint and make our house feel like a home.  We so far love it here and have been pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the people.  It's exciting to be near the mountains again.  It has been fun exploring different hiking trails on the weekends!

Tyler is now starting work and Rachel will start seeing a baby doctor here on Fort Carson this week.
