Sylvia 9 months

Sylvia is nine months old! She is our funny girl who loves to be silly and make people smile.  She loves her family and gets really excited and wiggly when she sees Mommy or Daddy or Andrew.  Sylvia has six teeth and a few more starting to come in (or at least Mommy suspects it because she likes to chew on things and drools more than normal).  She pulls herself to stand but still crawls from place to place.  Her hair is growing in thicker and is still red.  If it looks less red in pictures it is just because it is getting thicker.  She learned how to clap and wave.  She likes to wave when people say "hi" or "bye" and claps if you say "yay!".  She is really good at feeding herself and continues to try new foods.  She is growing and learning every day!

You can see her teeth.

Clapping baby

She followed the trail of baby puffs.

Sylvia looks so cute at playgroup.

We had fun at the park one Saturday that Daddy had to work.  Andrew loves pushing her in this stroller.

Baby all bundled up.  She just sits in this stroller and kicks her little legs.

Mommy had fun trying some new hair styles on Sylvia.  These are her first pig tails! Once the novelty wore off (about the third time Mommy did them) Sylvia learned to pull the rubber bands out of her hair.

All ready for church, our precious sweetie pie.

Here she is in the double stroller ready to go for a walk.

She tried celery and loved it.  She managed to eat almost that whole piece!

What a little doll.

We love spending time with Sylvia.  She wakes up about an hour before Andrew after their afternoon nap and so she gets special one on one time every day with Mommy.

Andrew is about a foot taller!  It is fun to see these two grow.

October

October was an exciting month and we were happy to spend it with Tyler! (Since he had been gone most of September- see previous blog posts)  The weather was mild and we enjoyed a lot of warmer days.

Andrew and Daddy picked out a pumpkin.

For Family Home Evening we carved the pumpkin!

Andrew had the most fun drawing on the pumpkin.  And Sylvia looks so cute in her Halloween outfit.

Gross pumpkin guts!

Say cheese!

The finished product!

Rachel made some chocolate covered bananas for a Halloween ghost treat.  Andrew thought they were yummy.

The kids' costumes were a fairy tale theme, Andrew was Hansel and Sylvia was a princess.

We went to the ward trunk or treat the week before Halloween and Tyler's brother Garrett arrived for a visit just in time to join us.

Andrew had lots of fun playing with Uncle Garrett.

We had trunk or treat inside because it was raining.

Andrew had fun walking around the church with all his friends.  He really liked his costume.  It was Tyler's when he was a little guy. Mommy made the hat.

Garrett wore Tyler's banana costume and it was a big hit.

Andrew had a lot of fun vising the different rooms.  He especially like the Toy Story room.

Andrew likes to tell stories and still talks about going to "church day" with Uncle Garrett as a banana and getting lots of candy and wearing his costume.

We decided to take Garrett to our favorite hiking destination because he stayed with us for the weekend.

Here we are at the start of the hike.

Andrew walked most of the way, but sometimes needed a little help from Mommy.

Fun at Red Rock Open Space.

Hey there Andrew!

It was a crisp fall day, perfect for a refreshing hike and clean mountain air.

We enjoyed seeing all the fall colors.

What a view!

Andrew is chasing Uncle Garrett.  He really thought that was funny.

1, 2, 3... JUMP!

Thanks for coming to visit us Uncle Garrett.

Sylvia and Daddy

We won't disappoint the fans.... family selfie!

This is a picture of a birthday party Andrew was invited to, it was Jake the Pirate theme and had lots of fun on-theme food and games.

When Halloween finally rolled around, Andrew was excited to put on his costume! Sylvia wore some pumpkin jammies to stay festive.  We trick or treated to our neighbor's house and then stayed on our porch to pass out candy the rest of the time.  Andrew took his job of passing out candy very seriously.  He did a great job and had fun seeing all the kids and costumes.  (It was a busy night!)

Cutie big girl loves to crawl! And her first pigtails look extra cute.

Andrew and Sylvia are crawling toward Daddy with the camera.

Andrew had a lot of candy that night.

Run off the sugar! We had a really fun Halloween and month of October this year.
