El Paso Winter

Winter time in El Paso is awesome because it's perfect weather for playing outside.  Here we are playing at a park after school.  The kids' faces say it all.

Time for Christian's first haircut.  His "duck tail" hair was super cute but this tangled mess means it's haircut time!  Melody's hair is growing so much too!

The twins are growing up!  Their personalities are so fun and they both love to be silly.

Hugs! They love Sylvia so much!

Andrew is a fun big brother.

Sylvia loves her Koala baby.  It is her favorite stuffed animal.  Andrew is always our adventure boy, now he is a big adventure boy.

Dressing up the twins.

This outfit used to be Daddy's.... not many similarities between these two pictures besides the outfit.

On Fridays we can have lunch with Andrew at school.

We walk home from school in the winter because the weather is nice.

Building Legos is one of Andrew's favorite things.  He is great at it!  Not only can he follow the instructions by himself but he loves creating his own structures.

On our way to the downtown library.

Sylvia posing with the Frozen themed decor of the library.

We love the library.

The kids practicing "Yoda" (that's how the kids pronounce "yoga") on the back patio. Rachel likes doing yoga at home and the kids have caught on to some of the poses.

So loving.

These two are too cute!!

Playing in the backyard.

We visited a museum west of El Paso.  Any museum with helicopters you can climb inside is a hit with our kids.

Great picture of Tyler!

It was fun to walk around the hangar.  It is a really well done museum.

Sylvia posing in front of a pink plane.

Tyler climbed inside an old plane.

Daddy with the girls.

Tyler even fit into this one!

There also were many old vehicles, wagons, not only aircraft.

On the way out the kids found a huge tumbleweed in the parking lot. They are fun to look at but they sure are pokey if you touch them!

Another park day.

Look at that happy face!

Tyler wearing the tie that the kids made and gave to him as a Christmas present.

Rachel with a lap full of kiddos! They like snuggling all together and watching a short video and reading books before bed time.

Rachel's not the only one who helps put the kids down for bed at night.

Sylvia also likes to read to and play with the babies.

Sylvia is such a great big sister. She loves playing with the babies during the morning and getting some quality one on one time with mommy when the little ones are down for their afternoon naps.

Andrew is a great big brother. He is also part walrus as you can see below.

Melody is bananas for bananas.

The kids aren't always super cute.  Sometimes they have tantrums.  Poor Christian.

And sometimes Mommy drops a milk carton on the ground while carrying in groceries and it explodes. Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk.

The kids love it when Rachel plays the piano. Andrew has gotten a few lessons from both Rachel and Grandma Carson and knows how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by himself.

Playing

Look at that hot mama out for a walk with the kids. 😍

That same hot mama posing in front of the house on the way to a friend's house.

We recently got a wagon and the babies love going for rides! We give them a small lollipop and they chomp on those as they ride around the block.  We like to take walks around the block after dinner.

Sylvia licking some beaters after Mommy made a treat.

Cutie kids riding in the car.  Christian loves his Kerm-y (Kermit the frog).

They had a father/son science project day one morning at Andrew's school. They made a rocket out of a straw and a ketchup squirt bottle.

We love our backyard slide.

Andrew learned about Martin Luther King Jr. at School. He wanted to make a MLK cake and Rachel obliged! It turned out to be more of a stylized, impressionist piece of artwork.  Rachel's reference picture is below.  It was tricky to do it all in one connected line and it was more melty than expected. It tasted delicious though!  It vanilla cake with chocolate chips inside and cool whip frosting and chocolate decorations.

The morning crew is too cute to pass up a picture opportunity.  Say cheese!

Having a yummy snack of berries.

Joyful jumping sisters.

We hope we always remember this time in our lives with these sweet little munchkins growing up and our home filled with happiness.
