Tyler left for his second deployment to Afghanistan on February 17th, 2019. He had an early morning show time so we got the kids up early and spent the last few minutes together we could inside the hangar before he flew out.
Tyler had been to a few of these deployment farewells in the previous weeks to send off Soldiers from his Company. It's hard to watch other people say good bye to their loved ones and even harder to say good bye to your own family.
It wasn't all sadness though, Andrew had a good time climbing on some of the storage racks inside the hangar.
Melody wore the same dress that Sylvia wore when Tyler came back from the last deployment in 2016. So much has changed since then!
There were lots of snuggles and hugs going on that morning.

The kids are going to change and grow a lot over the next few months. They won't be so little when Tyler comes home again.
