We had a fun Halloween holiday season with a lot of parties and fun events this year. We started by making a haunted house cake which ended up looking nothing like the inspiration picture but the kids had fun making it their own and, of course, eating it.
We also liked all the Halloween crafts and art. This one was making costumes for cats and dogs.
We also spent one Saturday at a pumpkin patch up in New Mexico.
We didn't actually get pumpkins from this patch but there were a lot of other activities.

Andrew had fun at school too during the holidays- getting a monster doughnut one day and wearing his costume to school too!
They also had a fun Halloween party at Andrew's school. They could play a bunch of games with tickets and play on bouncy houses and slides. There were even food trucks there! We played until dark and got some food truck dinner before walking the couple blocks home.

Christian tried on this Boy Scout uniform from the previous generation before sending it to his cousins. Very cute!
We also had a Halloween party at the church. There was good food and the kids paraded around their costumes. Afterward we went outside for the candy gathering. Here are some pictures from the trunk or treat.
We had another trunk or treat for Tyler's work. It was very hot that day! They made all the commanders stand in front and have a dance-off. Tyler dancing in his dinosaur costume was absolutely hilarious and show stopping.
We sure celebrated Halloween a lot this year. Our kids got so much candy.
On actual Halloween we did a combination of treat or treating and giving out candy. A lot of our neighbors were wearing scary costumes or had scary decorations so the kids didn't want to visit too many houses. We made a "bat cave" in our trunk and Andrew handed out the candy. Christian kept getting all our brooms from the garage to play with.
Sylvia on Halloween night decided not to wear her Elsa costume after all but her Anna costume that she already had.

Daddy went back out with Sylvia to walk around the neighborhood but used his bacon costume from a past Halloween because it was easier to walk in.
