2 Month Twins

Guess who is 2 months old! The twins are growing so fast! At their two month appointment Melody weighed 9 lbs. 10 oz. and Christian weighed 12 lbs.!  That means in 2 months they almost doubled their birth weight.  Good job growing, babies!

Christian's eyes still look very blue and his head still remains bald.  But his head size has grown significantly- also no more baby acne, his skin in perfectly smooth and no more lumpy head either.

Melody is enjoying bath time a little more, but she definitely doesn't like being cold, so only a nice warm bath will do.

We love our twins so much! They are such good babies- only minimally fussy when tired, hungry, or gassy.  Mommy was starting to notice they were fussier with gas pain after having formula so she decided to exclusively switch them over to breast milk.  It is easier on their tummies for sure.

And they have started smiling!!

Christian even has dimples if you thought he couldn't get any cuter!

Even as newborns they could hold their heads up for a few seconds, so they continue to exercise their impressive neck muscles.

Big sister wanted to be in a picture with the babies too!

They still are sleeping well, 2-3 naps a day and only waking at night to feed then going right back to sleep.  Their nighttime waking is slightly staggered so that is good too.  Mommy will feed one in bed and switch the babies back into the co-sleeper when the next one wakes.

The twins continue to grow steadily consistent in height even though Christian is heavier than his sister.

This is our new normal!  Daddy says now that we are used to having two babies, just having one wouldn't seem like enough!

They are looking a lot more filled out and cute- one month and a few pounds really make a big difference.

The nicknames we use most often are probably Mister Christian or Chubby Bubby,

and Mellie Bellie or as Sylvia calls her Miss Miss Melody.

This is how they hold hands, they link their arms together whenever they are close.  Remember their other pre-bath picture from the one month post?  SO much bigger now!
