Sylvia's Birthday

Happy Birthday Sylvia!!! Sylvia turned four years old on January 24th, 2019!  This picture was taken at breakfast were shes enjoying chocolate chip pancakes.

We planned Sylvia's party on a weekend after her actual birthday.  She helped me make these fun party favors for all her friends.  Can you guess the party theme?

Sylvia wanted a Frozen themed party this year.

We had sparkle snowflakes...

hung everywhere!

Here are some snowflake shaped rice crispie treats, cupcakes, and the birthday cake.

A close-up of the cake.  It it ombre frosted with candy chocolate balls around the bottom and a crown for Sylvia on top.

More of the decorations.

If you like Frozen, you would have loved Sylvia's party!

We told all of Sylvia's friends it would be a frozen party so some came dressed as Anna or Elsa.  Even Sylvia was dressed as Elsa.

We had some activities when the friends arrived.  We had a "snowball fight" with little cotton balls.  Mommy also made fake snow from shaving cream and corn starch which the kids loved but it made a big mess.  Good thing we played with it outside!

Thanks to Aunt Adri (who gave Rachel the idea) we had a Frozen themed scavenger hunt.

The clues were from Frozen songs and led us all over the house until it lead us to the last clue: Love is an open _____. Answer: Door!  Behind the door were the party favor boxes for the kids.

Everyone had fun playing together!  Such a fun group!

After the activities we ate. We had lunch and then cake.

Happy birthday, precious girl!

Blowing out the candles.

Enjoying the food and her crown.

There were more of the chocolate balls in the party favor boxes and Andrew put all of his onto his piece of cake.  The cake was a three layered vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam between the layers.

After a while it was pinata time!

Sylvia hitting her pinata.

Andrew wearing the pinata shell as a hat.

Sylvia had a great party and had a blast with all her friends!  It was great to celebrate together.  Sylvia is such an important part of our family.  Happy birthday!

  1. Oh my goodness, I loved all of the Frozen, snowflake decorations and creative food. Rachel, you really went all out to give sweet Sylvia a spectacular birthday! The cake was beautiful, and sounds like it would have tasted great, too. I'm glad Sylvia had such an amazing and memorable 4th birthday.
