The Smith family came down to El Paso to visit one last time before they moved to the Los Angeles area, and Tyler left for deployment. Tyler has known Phil since they were missionaries together in 2007. Who would have thought that 12 years later they would both be military pilots stationed a short drive away from each other?
The kids liked seeing all the animals. Here we are in front of an elephant.
There was also a new baby monkey. It reminded us a lot of Christian and Melody.

And climb on top of statues and other fun things at the zoo.
It makes for some really good pictures
The zoo recently opened up a new section that had a carousel. The kids loved riding around and around on the different animals.
We were sure glad to have the Smiths live close by and making fun memories with them. We wish them the best of luck in Los Angeles and hope to run into them again in the future!
How awesome for you to have good friends living so close by! Looks like the carousel is a nice addition to the fun times at the zoo.
