For Christmas, we drove to Show Low, Arizona, to stay in a fun Airbnb house with the Judd family. Here are Andrew and Sylvia in front of the 'Christmas House'.
The house had a cabin feel and had some land and places for the kids to explore.
Climbing kids!
It got progressively colder during our stay so we needed to bundle up a bit more.
It was fun to see everyone again! We were the last to arrive. The house had a nice comfortable living room to visit together.
The upstairs had a fun Foosball table. The kids and adults liked playing it.
The upstairs also had a movie room! The kids had fun checking it out.
We decorated a little Christmas tree together!
Grandpa with the diaper twins.
We made some sugar cookies together too!
They turned out pretty cute and extremely delicious. We left out a plate of them for Santa.
Playing games together
Melody was cold and so she shared Daddy's warmth like a little marsupial baby.
Christmas Eve we opened one gift- pajamas for the kids and Olivet Machine Tool shirts for the adults. Group picture!!
Twins were not so excited about their group picture. But they did like their new pjs!
We took this picture Christmas morning! We were waiting for everyone to gather so we could go down and open presents together.
Coming down the stairs Christmas morning! So excited and happy!
Santa got Melody a puppy stuffy.
Christian had a hard time waking up! He loved the candy canes in his stocking though and he was a good helper for Daddy opening presents.
Opening presents together!
Sylvia loved her gifts.
Christmas morning was so much fun!
Christian loved his books he got for Christmas.
Sylvia picked out a special present for Aunt Cami and Uncle Hunter's baby girl.
Tyler got really special gift put together by Camille that he can take to Afghanistan. It was a book where everyone in the family wrote a special letter to Tyler.
Sylvia liked helping Aunt Margaret check out her stocking stuffers.
It was fun to see all the presents everyone got for each other and all the love and thought that went behind them.
Taking a walk Christmas morning.
Playing with Grandpa!
So cute!
Walking with Grandma.
The guys got festive with their sweaters and reindeer headbands from their stockings!
Just like at home, Sylvia loves to help in the kitchen. Especially during Christmas time when there is yummy food to sample.
Beautiful ladies working hard!
They humored me and paused for a picture. Love them so much!
This is a picture of our traditional Christmas brunch. It was delicious!
Everybody enjoyed it.
We had lots of time for games too! Andrew is a good helper.
Uncle Bennett and Uncle Sam played guitar and sang. We love that they share their musical talent.
The Snowflake, Arizona Temple was only twenty minutes away so everyone watched our kids during their nap time so Tyler and I could go! It was so wonderful! It even started snowing while we were gone and snowed pretty heavily the rest of the day.
It was a fun surprise for the kids. Christian got so cold and we didn't have any gloves for him so we put my thick winter socks on his hands. Problem solved! Sylvia is making a snow angel in the background.
Fun in the snow!
This is the most snow the kids have seen in a while.
Christian had fun until he got too cold.
The uncles fashioned a sled puller and the kids had a blast.
So cute!
The pavement was slippery for sliding.
Andrew even could pull the kids on the sled.
Snuggle time with Grandma! Frozen is playing in the background while the kids had hot chocolate and warmed up.
Guys hanging out. Sam was writing a family music video but it never was finished.
We wanted to explore more of the area. We loaded up the wagon the kids got for Christmas.
The snow melted but it was still cold.
We found a golf course near the house. Uncle Hunter and Andrew have fun together.
The walking crew.
Even though it was cold, Andrew wanted to wear shorts so he was running around most of the time to keep warm.
The wagon worked great even while off-roading.
What a great Daddy!
These girls love each other so much.
Uncle Sammy likes spending time with his nieces and nephews.
We spent several evenings in the theater room watching movies after the kids went to bed.
Family time is the best!
Daddy and Mel Mel.
We made so many happy memories in Arizona over Christmas!
Aunt Cami's baby bump is too cute and we can't wait to meet their baby girl as our family continues to grow.
We had a very Merry Christmas!!!
So glad you were able to have such a nice time for Christmas. I'm sure your kids were adored and spoiled by everyone since they're they only grandchildren/nieces and nephews! You're very fortunate to have strong LDS families on both sides.
