Captain's Career Course Graduation

One of the last big activities at the end of our time in Alabama was a graduation ball for Tyler's Aviation Captain's Career Course class. It was an evening where Soldiers and Spouses could get together and enjoy each others company while wearing fancy clothes.

We've only had one or two opportunities to go out as a couple since the twins were born, and while we absolutely love spending time at home with our sweet children, we were very grateful to our friends who watched all the kids while we enjoyed an evening out.

Here we are with the Burrow family. They were stationed at Fort Carson at the same time we were, and the two guys worked together off and on throughout those years. It was fun to get to know them better throughout the course.

Rachel and Leah met a few times times at meetings for the spouses of career course students. 

The entire class consisted of 60 people, including some international officers,  broken down into four groups of 15. Here is Tyler with a few other guys from his group. During the course each Officer found out where they would be going for their next duty station, with the group below going to El Paso, Poland, Kuwiat, Alaska, and Germany. 

These pictures were taken at the end of the ball, after some of the other people had been drinking rather heavily. 

This is Tyler with LT Lipski from Poland. Tyler sometimes doesn't know what to do with his hands in pictures, so this "cool tough guy" picture turned into Lipski looking cool and tough, and Tyler standing there kind of awkwardly on top of some cat 5 cable.

A few days after the ball came the actual graduation ceremony. It was nostalgic to be back in the same museum that we were at for Tyler's flight school graduation almost five years prior. 

A lot has changed since then, most of all the addition of four wonderful children to our family! Andrew was a big help at the ceremony, even taking a few pictures while Rachel had her hands full with Christian and Melody. 

This picture was taken by Andrew. Either he has a great budding talent for photography or he got very lucky taking this great shot!

Andrew and Sylvia ran up to see daddy after the ceremony was over. 

Here is the entire 15 man group that Tyler worked closely with during the six month course. This fine group of gentlemen also claimed the title of ultimate Frisbee champions with an *almost* undefeated record! Andrew also took this picture if you can believe it (just kidding)

We have been so greatly blessed since the last time we were in Alabama, we were extremely blessed and grateful for the experiences and friendships gained in Alabama this time around, and are very excited for what the future has in store for us in El Paso, Texas!
