Happy Birthday to our sweet, goofy big girl Sylvia!
We had a combined birthday for Sylvia and Tyler the end of January. Their birthdays are so close together, and were running out of weekends before we moved, and it cuts down the logistics if you only have one party instead of two.

Rachel rented out the Neighborhood Community Center to host the party. It was a very nice building with all the rooms (including a game room, common area, media room, bathrooms, and kitchen) available to us.
We were happy to invite all our friends we made in Alabama.
We made a slideshow of pictures from Sylvia's three years. Here are some of her cute friends having cake.

We had some fun activities set up for the kids- Design your own pony station was one of them. We also had a station to fill your own goodie bag to take home.

We had a lot of food for our many guests! Pizzas, meatballs, chips and queso bean dip, tortilla roll ups, fruit, veggies, two cakes, cupcakes, ice cream, and punch. Most of it was eaten up by the end of the party.

The Schmitt family (pictured below) is the step brother of our good friend Bobbie Heywood from Colorado. What a small world!

The Community Center had nautical themed decor- very cozy and chic.
Rachel did some decorations because Sylvia loves My Little Pony so much.
Rachel made an amazing My Little Pony cake for Sylvia. We later found out while looking through an old photo album that Rachel had a pony cake for her third birthday also. Like mother like daughter! It was a chocolate cake per Sylvia's request.
That's a 31 on Tyler's cake. His cake was a cookies and cream cake with oreo crumbs coating the chocolate frosting and oreo filling between the layers of white cake.

Andrew was a big helper boy when it came to unwrapping the presents. Here he is helping Tyler unwrap and paw patrol toy. Andrew had picked it out for Tyler at Walmart, and decided it would be a good present because he could play with it while Tyler was away at work. Of course we saw through this thinly veiled attempt at buying a toy for himself instead of his dad, but we love him so we got it anyway.
Andrew also helped Sylvia unwrap her presents.

We really considered it a blessing in our lives how many great friends we met in Alabama. We were there such a short time but we made great connections fast. Not only with our friends from church but with our neighbors also. We hope we'll run into some of them again in the future!
Some bonus pictures of Tyler- He is so important to us all, a great Daddy and loving husband. We had a lot of fun celebrating his special day.

We love miss Sylvia girl so much and we are so glad she is in our family! She is creative, silly, nurturing, girly yet tough, messy, and smart. We look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with this wonderful, sweet girl in the future.
