Alabama before babies

It took some time getting settled and establishing a new routine in a different place.  We noticed improvements in the kids' behaviors once we had a sense of normalcy.  At first Andrew said he didn't like our new house because it didn't have a basement or any stairs.  The smaller house was actually a blessing because it was easier to clean for pregnant Mommy (and no stairs to climb) and we only unpacked half our boxes which will make moving in six months easier.  We have learned to love our sweet home Alabama.  Tyler also didn't start his class until the end of August so he had a lot of time at home to spend with us.

Craft time is one of their favorite things to do.

Our back porch is a fun place for the kids to play.  The ground is sandy and fun for them to dig in.  Right behind the shed there is a big playground they love to play on too.

Fixing the bookshelf with Daddy.  Andrew and Sylvia are sharing a room for the first time... the novelty of a bunk bed has been an interesting experience.

Having fun on the playground by our house.

Here we are exploring the new neighborhood.

There are many playgrounds scattered throughout the neighborhoods.  It's fun to visit ones other than the one in our backyard.

Andrew and Sylvia love helping Mommy in the kitchen.  Here Andrew is mixing muffins.

Another playground, this one is near Lake Tholocco which is still on post.

All ready for church!  We have noticed how much Sylvia has grown this summer.

They (mostly) get along so well

Tyler went into work for a few hours one morning after dropping off Andrew at school.  Mommy and Sylvia were playing when he left and this is what he came home to.  Mommy was so tired she fell asleep and Sylvia piled her stuffed animals on her and kept playing by herself.

Story time!

Playtime with Sylvia, what a cutie!

Sylvia is a big kitchen helper.

Sylvia almost isn't the baby of the family!

Grandma Carson came to stay with us in hopes that babies would arrive during her stay.  We know now the babies had no intention of arriving early.  Andrew and Sylvia love to play with Grandma!  More pictures from her visit in the following blog post!
