Before Christmas we took a little trip down to Texas to visit the Stinson Family. Mommy and Sylvia were tired out on the plane.
We had a really fun time, Andrew and Sylvia loved to play with their cousins, and when the girls were in school- play with all their cousins' toys.
We went in during lunch time to eat snacks with Savannah...
And Chick-fil-A lunch with Kiera. It was fun to visit them at school. It was especially exciting for Andrew to be with all the big kids.
Afterwards we took a nice walk around the lake with Aunt Lissa.
Here's the two red heads holding hands while taking a walk
The weather was very pleasant during our visit- kind of cool but not cold.
Having fun at the Stinson house
It was a relaxing vacation.
Here is a funny group shot taken during dinner.
We were also lucky to be there during Frosty Fest- a fun event put on by their community center. They had cotton candy, music, crafts, Frozen character appearances, and a real camel and donkey (Andrew and Sylvia were too scared to get close to the animals).
Santa was even there taking pictures with the kids! Andrew wanted no part in this.
His favorite part was the train ride!
You can see it was a rainy day but the kids had a really fun time anyway, we even got to ride the train twice.
Sylvia loved the doughnuts.
Another fun thing we were able to do was drive around the neighborhood looking at the beautiful Christmas lights while listening to Christmas music- they were very impressive. It was a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. Not pictured- Rachel was able to go with Lissa to her Relief Society Christmas party which was a really fun evening.
We also made Christmas cookies! Here's Aunt Lissa helping Sylvia, while Rachel practices her photo bomb techniques
Having fun
Some of the finished cookies.
Tyler is getting into the Christmas spirit too! Sylvia actually wanted Daddy to wear these.
We got to help the Stinsons pick out a Christmas tree.
And put up their Christmas decorations
Helping Uncle Jason
Working hard or hardly working
Decorating the Christmas tree is fun
Here we are all together. Thank you Stinsons for letting us come visit you! We had a really fun time!
One picture taken in the Houston airport and the other when we arrived back in Denver. The kids were great travelers, all in all it was a wonderful trip.
