In late summer, the Carson Family reunion in Galveston, Texas, conflicted with some training Tyler was in charge of so instead of the rest of the family missing out, Grandma came to help Rachel fly to Houston! Melody fell asleep 5 minutes before the plane landed! But all in all everyone did really well.
We drove down to Galveston to this beautiful beach house!
The beach house was perfect for all the families to stay- the welcoming committee consisted of one very large swordfish.
The room Rachel and the kids stayed in had two bunk beds and had plenty of space for the two pack and plays.
Andrew and Sylvia were so happy to see their cousins! Here they are playing with Kiera and Savannah.
Snuggles with Grandma
The location was beautiful! The air smelled like the ocean and the yard offered plenty of space for the kids to run around and play.
We were also only two blocks away from the beach! Andrew was so excited.
The weather was perfect also.
Having a blast.
Sylvia digging in the sand.
Sophia playing in the sand as well.
Fun in the sun.
Uncle Jason talking with Andrew during dinner one evening.
Granddad and the twins
Sylvia holding new baby cousin, Matthew.
The beach house had a movie room too that was a lot of fun for the cousins to congregate.
Adam, Andrew, and Daniel
Sylvia helping in the kitchen with Aunt Adri. Melody having a snack.
The cousins also liked playing on the deck. I think here they are playing doctor. Looks like Savannah is the patient.
Someone even brought a kite. Sylvia took a turn with it.
Dinner time in the dining room
Grandma and Granddad wanted a group picture with the grand kids. Not all the kids were happy about this idea.
But their individual pictures turned out adorable! It spells out 'Carson Grands'.
After the kids went to bed, the adults had game night.
Everyone worked on puzzles during our time together as well.
Say cheese.
Even the kids joined in on the puzzle fun!
Sylvia and Savannah just chillin.
We went to the beach a second time. The twins joined us this time!
Playing in the sand again with Uncle Jason.
I like this action shot of Adri and Carson flying a the kite and Daniel running into the ocean.
Everyone had fun swimming.

Andrew never wanted to leave the beach. He is such a precious boy and we love him so much.
I was impressed with the sea decor of the house, down to the smallest details.
It was so cute to see the cousins running and playing together.
Grandma made Rachel and Adri cakes to celebrate their 30th birthday (only a couple weeks apart). Adri's was chocolate peanut butter and Rachel's was lemon raspberry and both were delicious!
A gorgeous sunset
We took this wonderful group picture before we drove back up to Houston.
We stayed at the Stinsons house for a night before heading to the airport early the next morning. Andrew was in Lego heaven in his cousin's room.
Sylvia also loved playing with her cousins' toys, including their dress up clothes.
The babies had fun playing too!
Thanks for letting us stay at your house!
The whole time we were having a blast at the beach, Tyler was in the hot, dry, windy desert doing Army training. At least he made a friend (pictured below)!
