Summer in El Paso

What is there to do in El Paso during the hot summer months?  Well check out this post and you'll see how we spent our summer!

Eating cold treats is a great way to cool down! Kids eating ice cream cones and playing baby dinosaur in the backyard.

Exploring a new churro/ice cream shop in southern El Paso called Super Churro Split.  Very delicious.

It's a fun treat to order from the ice cream truck.

We went to this little one's birthday party at a park.  We think she looks more like Christian's twin then Melody does.

Thanks for the fun birthday party, Minnie!

The big kids get to spend a lot of time together because of summer break from school.  They like playing, dancing in a T-mobile store, or just walking hand in hand down the sidewalk.

And when it gets too hot they can play inside.  Here Sylvia is trying to convince Andrew to play wedding and Andrew is putting underwear on his head instead.

Playing the piano is fun too.  The babies want to join in.

Dancing around.

Another fun pastime is swimming in our new pool from Sam's club on the back porch.

Andrew and Sylvia are little fish, they love to swim so much.

Here is the view from the hammock in the back.  It is my favorite seat of the whole house.

Hanging out in the hammock.

Hammock time!

More pool time.

They even like to swim first thing in the morning when the sprinklers are still going.

Summer yellow matching girls.

And matching Father and son.

Here the kids are being silly!

And even sillier still are the girls with their faces swapped.

Playing on the back porch again as a family.

Taking a walk around the neighborhood.

The kids sure do love to ride their bikes.

We also like to explore the city.  We are having breakfast at a Texas barbecue and outside we saw a bunch of cool cars all lining up.

One Saturday we happened to stop by an art fair downtown and watched some traditional Mexican dancing and walked around the booths.

Another place we like to explore are the museums of El Paso.

Playing at the border patrol museum near our house.

This was taken outside the archaeology museum.  I told Sylvia to put her hands on her hips to pose for the picture.

The splash pad is another fun summer hang out spot.

Mommy with the kids.

Christian loved splashing in the water.

The big bucket dumps water every so often and the kids thought it was so much fun.

We found many ways to beat the heat in El Paso!

We had a great summer together.
