Our Christmas

We had an early Christmas in Colorado together.  Andrew has loved everything about Christmas so far this year.  He exactly is a "tiny tot with eyes all aglow".  

He loves playing in the snow.

He loves the Christmas tree.  Andrew plugs in the lights every morning before breakfast and here in this picture he is just standing and admiring the tree.  This is something he does many times a day.  He loves all the ornaments and lights.

Andrew loves reading the Christmas book.  He especially loves baby Jesus and playing with Tyler's Nativity set.  You can see he has added Thomas and a dinosaur.

He loves saying, Ho Ho Ho, just like Santa.

For those reasons and more we had a wonderful early Christmas morning with stockings full and presents to open.  Some of the highlights are: 

Andrew and Daddy put together our new bookshelf.

Andrew takes his role of helper very seriously.

The finished product! We really like it and finally have a place for all our books.

The kids got super cute new clothes!

And a fun new book to read from Aunt Lissa.

 Sylvia got her first baby doll and gives her kisses and hugs.  It's so cute!

Andrew got play dough in his stocking.

He only tried to eat it once.

As you can see he always wants Mommy or Daddy to make "baby Jesus" for him.

The play dough was a big hit.

We had our Christmas party at church that night.  It was decorated with a lot of Christmas lights.  That is why it looks so dark.  There was a lot of good food and good company.

Santa even came!

This was as close as Andrew got to Santa this year. And Sylvia cried.

It was a great early Christmas here in Colorado.

A few days before Tyler left we went to visit the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs.  We have been there for a walk before.  There is a lake there with swans and it is a very beautiful area.  This time we went in the evening to see the Christmas lights.  (Yet another aspect of Christmas that Andrew loves.)  Here is cutie Sylvia all bundled up.

The lights were impressive.

Andrew carried around a big chunk of snow and nibbled on it the whole time.

Tyler is standing by the biggest Christmas tree I have ever seen in my life.  That is only the bottom half in the picture.

It was fun to walk around and look at the pretty lights but it was bitter cold as evident by our red noses.

The Carsons love Christmas time and it has been fun experiencing it from the perspective of an enthusiastic toddler.
