November / Early December

We started our weekend by taking a walk at Garden of the Gods. it was very icy so we chose to walk on the dirt not the slippery path.

It was slow going but we made it!

We braved the cold and made it to see the cool rock formations.

Sylvia was so bundled up she could hardly see.

After our walk we got back into the van and warmed up.

Sylvia was really glad to be back in the warmth, as you can tell by her sweet smile.

After our walk, we put the kids down for a nap and started making the Thanksgiving dinner. We had some friends come over.

The day after Thanksgiving we had our friends the Heywoods come over and we made caramel apples with the kids.

We have enjoyed walks around the neighborhood to see the neighbors' Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations.

We also went out to dinner at a fun Mexican restaurant with the kids this month.

Little Sylvia was well behaved at the restaurant.

We went to the Denver temple Thanksgiving weekend.

It was very snowy! Andrew was prepared with his backpack full of toys and bundled in his winter clothes.

Sylvia isn't in the family selfie because she was asleep in the stroller next to us.

We definitely have been getting some colder weather here in Colorado.

Mommy and Sylvia are so cute together.

Rachel went with the kids to the commissary on Fort Carson to get Advent Calendars.

We decorated the tree earlier than we normally do because we are celebrating Christmas early this year.

Andrew helped put the star on the Christmas tree.

Sylvia was excited to "help" too!

We also got out our Christmas books.  The kids were excited to read them.

Andrew has loved everything about Christmas this year and plays with the nativity set every day.  It is so cute when he says Baby Jesus.

Our Christmas tree!

Andrew was really excited to wear this minion shirt from Grandma Tuell, he put it on when we opened the package, slept in it, and wore it the next day too.

Andrew is practicing photography.  He likes to take pictures with our indestructible camera.

Typical morning with the kids playing after breakfast.

Andrew likes to paint with water on construction paper.  Mommy was glad to discover this activity because it keeps the toddler tornado calm for a few minutes.

We made and ate Christmas cookies too.

Sylvia and daddy time.

The beginning of December we had Tyler's promotion ceremony.  He is now Captain Carson!

Mommy and Sylvia are pinning on Tyler's new rank.

We are so proud of Tyler!  Congratulations!

We have a lot of things to be grateful for, most especially that we could spend time together this month.  Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
