Zoo with Daddy

Although the kids and I have been to the zoo several times, this was Tyler's first visit.  We went the week Daddy got home, and it was perfect timing because it was military appreciation week.

Look at the giraffe's tongue.

In front of the lion exhibit- there is one behind Tyler and Sylvia's heads.

Happy Sylvia! She loved all the animals.

This was my favorite picture from our trip.

In the bird sanctuary there are a lot of birds flying around free.  You have to watch out!

We had perfect weather and had a wonderful time seeing all the animals.  We even brought a picnic lunch for the halfway point so we could stay longer.  It was a great day!

We love spending time together and we love to take family selfies.

It is very stinky in the primate house but the kiddos love seeing the apes.

These are some of the last animals we visited... this baby orangutan reminds us so much of Sylvia because of the orange-ish crazy hair and how silly the baby monkey was acting.

  1. I'm glad the weather is still nice so you guys can do so much before it gets cold! And that family picture is beautiful!

  2. How fun for the kids that you live so close to a zoo. They're at the perfect age to enjoy looking at the animals. I've never seen a zoo where you could pet a giraffe's face!
