The end of February we had a visit from Grandma Carson! The kids were so excited to have Grandma time and Mommy was glad for the company and help. Here are some cute pictures from her visit.
Grandma is showing the kids a book about Daddy when he was their age.
Story time with Grandma
Grandma played with the kids a lot and they loved it!
As Andrew would say, "Play time!"
Sylvia and Grandma
Andrew is playing the guitar on his shirt. What a silly kid!
Stories before naps.
Checking the mail together
We went for a walk and enjoyed a beautiful sunset.
Snuggles while we watched a movie together.
Grandma stayed from Thursday to Monday so the kids had lots of time to play.
Sylvia is ready for lunch!
Saturday we went to visit the Pioneer Museum (for the first time) located downtown Colorado Springs.
Mommy and Baby-ah
The museum was awesome and even had a kids' activity room. Andrew loved the train.
There even was a covered wagon to play in.
And a tepee!
Sylvia is playing the drums.
There was an old timey photo area. The kids weren't into it.
Not a real goat.
The building was very ornate and had two stories of interesting rooms to explore.
Look how beautiful the inside of the museum is!
This was the room talking about how people traveled to Colorado for the fresh air said to cure ailments.
It was a great day to be outside.
The kids loved running around!
Can't believe it took us 3 years before visiting this cool (free) museum only 15 minutes away from our house!
Silly kids at dinner time.
Andrew helped Grandma bake some yummy treats.
Yummy cinnamon rolls
We thought it was cute Andrew's tongue was sticking out because he was concentrating.
Yum! Grandma made an amazing lemon danish. This picture was before the lemon glaze went on. It was very delicious.
In addition to all the fun pictured above, Rachel was able to get the oil changed in the van, run errands, go grocery shopping at the commissary, go to the dentist, and attend a Stake Training Meeting because Grandma watched the kids for her.
Thank you for coming to visit us!! What a cute picture of Grandma and grand kids!
Wow, we sure did lots of fun things in the five days I was in Fountain! Thanks for being a gracious hostess and for sharing those precious little grandchildren with me.
ReplyDeleteAndrew playing his shirt guitar. haha That's pretty creative! Sophia sticks her tongue out when she concentrates, too. They must be related :) I'm glad you were able to get a lot done while she was there. Hooray for Grandmas!
