Tyler got off of work early on Thursday, so we took the opportunity to go hiking in Cheyenne Canyon. We hadn't been to this particular trail in a while and it was nice to go there again and enjoy the cool day.
Here are Andrew and Tyler at the start of the hike.
Andrew liked pulling on daddy's hat.
He pulled really hard sometimes. It was like a horse rider pulling on the horse's reigns going "whoa boy!"
He also leaned off to the right most of the hike, presumably to see around daddy's head.
Leaning AND pulling on daddy's hat.
Really, he was leaning off to the right the whole time.
About half an hour into the hike Andrew got fussy and squirmy so we let him out of the backpack.
The path was uneven and rocky but with mommy's help it was a cinch!
He is such a big boy!
He got tired of walking and started playing in the dirt.
He picked it up then dropped it.
He swished it around.
Then he started to eat it. That's when we packed him back up in the backpack and headed to the car.
It was a nice fun trip, even if Andrew needed dirt washed out of his mouth! (in this picture his mouth is green from feeding him fruit snacks once we got back to the car)
What a big boy! Love those overalls, this travel log (via iphone pics?), and that long hair! He's sure growing really fast all the sudden!
ReplyDeleteThat Colorado countryside sure is pretty, and I'm glad you all get out and enjoy the fresh air and scenery so often. Before too long big boy Andrew will be out walking alongside you instead of riding on Daddy's back. He sure is a fine boy and such a cutie. The pictures of him walking and eating dirt are precious!
