We started the Christmas season off right by baking and decorating dozens of sugar cookies. We made snow flakes, Christmas trees, bells, and gingerbread folks.
We didn't go crazy with lights, but we did decorate a few of the windows and our tree of course. We had snow off and on the entire month of December so we had a few picturesque nights with the Christmas lights.
Before we flew to Minot, ND, to spend Christmas with Tyler's parents and brother and family, we opened up a few bigger presents we couldn't take with us on the plane.
We left our house at 7:00 am and didn't get to Minot until 9:30 pm. It was a long day but Andrew did a great job! He didn't really cry until we walked out of the Minot airport into the freezing cold.
Andrew was sure glad to see his Grandma and Granddad Carson!
Opening presents Christmas morning.
The cousins had a lot of fun playing together.
Three of the six Carson Grandchildren.
We took lots of pictures while we were there.
Family is so fun!
Andrew has seen a little bit of snow here in Colorado, but not REAL snow like in Minot. We bundled him up to the point where he couldn't really bend his arms and legs and braved the cold.
We happened to be flying on the same flight as Tyler's parents from Minot to Minneapolis and we spent a couple of hours of our layover together at the airport until we had to go our separate ways.
My mom will hate this but I had to share this perfectly timed photo.
We had a very merry Christmas and enjoyed the time off we got to spend with family.
It was a fun time having your family there with us all in Minot. Andrew put on a good rolling show and was so well behaved it is amazing. Wonderful to spend time with you all.

bahahhahahaha Russ and I both laughed out loud at the picture of Mom in the airport. Thanks for posting it. :) Wish we could've been with you guys on Christmas, but then again, we're also really glad we could be somewhere a lot warmer. I also like your cute sugar cookie people. Tyler always was one of the most detailed and creative in his cookie decorating while the rest of us put a face on it and called it good.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! It would have been so fun to be there with you guys.
